My name is Shayla, and this is a blog where I will share my truths. Maybe you found this page by chance, maybe on purpose. I have gone back and forth about starting this thing for years (literally). I have created accounts on just about every blog site you can name. Only to take a step back and say, “It’s not ready yet” or “I don’t even know where to start.” So today, I told myself, just start. Start and figure the rest out on the way. I don’t know where this will go, but I know that I’m starting.
I kept putting off starting to one day. Convincing myself that I needed everything to be perfect first. I felt like I needed to have all the things to begin. Like I had to have life figured out and all together, and then I could share it with the world. But as life would have it, the goal was never to have it all figured out anyway. This is my journey in a journal, out loud. This is Day One of sharing my life in drafts. A long overdue step of obedience and letting God guide my steps. I have done enough trying to convince Him and myself that I am not the person for this. Let’s see how this grows. However you got here, maybe something in my journey will cause you to stay.
